Maracajaú is a small fishermen village with approximately 2.000 inhabitants that he/she has today as your principal economical activity the tourism (snorkeling available at the coral bank, "Parrachos").


Surrounded by dunes, coconut trees and lagoons, Maracajaú also has beautiful beaches with calm bays wonderful for bathing and walking.



The great attraction of this beach is the coral banks with crystal clear waters and rich with tropical fish. This is an appropriate place for practicing snorkeling. That coral bank which is 7km of the beach is called "Parrachos" by the locals.
